What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There's deep lore, lovable characters, and the moment to moment fighting is dopamine feedback looping at its' finest.
This mode also had a side mode that was kind of like a survival tower that you could earn big rewards fashioned in the beatem up style gameplay.
The pvp ranking system is D<C<B<A<S<S+<S++<Master<Grand Master and it is almost impossible for a B rank to beat an S++ rank player, no matter how many games they play or how lucky the B rank player gets.
- Rising looks a little better than the original game in terms of graphics.
- Online pvp has rollback netcode, you can enable or disable region lock, you get to check the opponent's ping before you accept or decline the match, etc.
the fighters are all really fun, this is one of the few games where i like a lot of the characters instead of a select few i get bored with. every character has a skill unique to them; one can summon an avatar, one can eat hp items, one can change stances to a completely new set of moves, etc. the art, voice acting (japanese, not english) and designs are top tier. it has a super system where you do an extra powerful and flashy new at critical hp.
