the game has incredible polish, replay value, and creativity. i’m genuinely frustrated that it hasn’t gotten more attention. that’s why i’m writing this review.

i also think card rarity could be communicated more clearly-rare cards don’t feel especially distinct from common ones. it’s more rewarding when rare cards have more visual or gameplay weight. a dedicated epic/purple rarity could be fun. i read in the discord that legendary units are in the works... if so, yes PLEASE. giving them unique names, backstories, and visuals would make them feel so substantial (as legendaries should) instead of regular soldiers (even though those are cool too).

While there’s no manual save feature, I did realize too late that you can save scum by returning to the menu if a fight goes poorly, as the game will simply reload to the last time you were in your city.
