What players think
The recurring themes across 162 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The combat is fast and furious, and there's enough progression and different ways to play that every fresh start feels like a new chance to try different things rather than like a chore.
Berserk Mode is all about the Hack and Slash Retro style carnage, displayed in an old school, hand drawn pixel graphics style that is bloody good!
Honestly I wish this guy would have a bigger budget to make a full scrollslike in this setting with more rpg elements and quests and such since I am not really a fan "Soulshard" (aka NEShard) games where you replay the same stuff constantly, but that is not really a gripe its just how roguelikes (classic and modern) are.
The game even has a pleasing atmosphere: lovely pixel art and a soundtrack that just fits.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
