The story is in my opinion really good (definitely not bad like people say), and the visuals and environment is straight up 10/10.

Throughout this you gather clues and learn about the pretty wellmade "mechanics" of the evil around you. (e.g. that the monsters are themselves people who have been twisted into harvesting people to bring them there to be tortured for life-essence juice.

Especially since it is relatively modern, and a lot more immersive as a result of the much more modern graphics compared to the older more legendary Amnesia games.

Not to make this another review about A Machine for Pigs, but the return of vital features from Dark Descent (sanity, resource management, limited lantern use, persistent inventory, hub areas during exploration, real puzzles, visually interesting enemies, player choice leading to multiple endings) really shines a light on how much the previous game dropped the ball.
