On top of this, the poorly paced game modes give out pitiful rewards, leading to a grind-intensive playstyle just to squeeze out a bit of progression with the game's Forge System.
There's a (new-ish) story mode that makes the game more structured and enjoyable in bite-sized pieces, but about halfway through the game's content, the gear and account progression becomes so incredibly slow, unforgiving, and free-to-play antagonistic that I think the game isn't worth "completing" anymore.
I know it's been around since 2011 or 2012 but I only just discovered this game in 2026 and I'm really loving the gameplay and art style.
It also has a really fun Bomberman clone PvP game that is very hard to get a queue for unless you have enough people in your guild to just do it...
The cheerful presentation contrasts effectively with the dangerous environments, while the soundtrack reinforces the adventurous atmosphere with energetic and mysterious compositions that accompany every expedition.
