If you can conscript a friend that already did all the grinding and spending to carry you through the story content you want to see - do that.
The voice acting is great, the missions are lots of fun, and they genuinely give some interesting extensions to Star Trek stories.
The game needs some love, long running bugs that haven't been resolved, the player content story lines were removed years ago to stream line support, and PVP is pretty much non existent (I appreciate this).
