Unlocking characters is fun, and the art is spectacular.

Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
Combine this with the DLC (which is an essential purchase), and you get four additional characters, a cool roguelike survival mode that has a progression system that unlocks variants of each special move for whatever character you play as, an incredible amount of bang for your buck.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
It's a classic beat'em up, not much else to say. the went to a cartoon graphics rather a retro-pixel style, which is something I honestly appreciate since there are already a lot of other similar games in the pixel art space.

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
Add in a thumping, god-tier soundtrack led by Olivier Derivière (with legendary nods to Yuzo Koshiro), and the atmosphere is flawless.

Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
All of this can be played in coop with a friend (including the roguelike mode), in either story mode, stage select, or arcade mode.

Multiplayer
Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
Honestly after beating the story the game does leave you with wanting a little more and thats something i really love about this. we really need a classic collection for SOR 1-3 with hd graphics and possible online multiplayer cause again playing this to its completion leaves more to be desired.
