There's a good amount of sidequests, a solid story, lovable characters, fishing, exploration, collectable cards, a pet-raising system, puzzles with partner abilities a la Mario RPGs...

Normal difficulty is a pretty good difficulty, or even Easy for those that want a slightly easier experience in exploring the story.

As stated before, it's typical JRPG fair, but the beautiful enemy sprites, lovely environments, slick HUD, and unlockable weapons and skills breathe life into fights.

As for a few final thoughts and compliments, I adore the visuals.

some are bangers, others are forgettable generally decent OST, with royalty free music just kind of in there at random points.

The difficulty curve can be a bit rocky but still manages to be fair - there weren't many bosses where I needed to grind for EXP before taking on (though you'll want to stock up on items big time before you enter the final zone).
