What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There is a lot of weapon variety and the game never punishes one playstyle or over-rewards another.
Significant visual overhaul improvement from the original 2011 game with enhanced lighting, reworked environments, & improved textures that make the city of Steelport look more modern.
The story is a comedic circus and atypical which is part of the fun, more so back in 2011.
The co-op mode is as functional as the rest of the game, with occasional crashing, of course.
The weapons are fun including the original DLC ones, which come included with this aswell.
My very first Saints Row game I played many times back on the original PlayStation 3 version & honestly, I couldn't be any happier to replay this crazy over the top game once more on my Steam Deck OLED.
