What players think
The recurring themes across 137 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I like the sound effects and the ambient background music is low-key enough where it didn't annoy me.
In terms of visuals I still maintain that SiNKR is too busy to classify as truly minimalist.
aside from 87 levels and a new mechanic, which retroactively got introduced in sinkr a while ago in form of a free level pack, the only new thing is the minimap for selecting levels, which provides a degree of branching progression and the ability to solve levels slightly out of order and skip some tougher ones for the time being. it's pretty nice and levels are marked with 1 to 3 stars to indicate difficulty, plus you can have the map on-screen on the side all the time, even 'fast travel'. moving it around was a bit finicky at first, but a patch shortly after release fixed it, no need for the arrow keys anymore to scroll faster than by dragging the mouse up and down mobile-style, there are handy clickable arrows on the side now.
The minimalist interface, with its absence of score counters or progress bars, ensures that every solved puzzle feels like its own small triumph rather than a step in a race.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
