What players think
The recurring themes across 117 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
We were capable of taking on higher leveled ships (level ~12-15) despite not even breaking past level 7 on our own with the equipment that we had, which places a lot of confidence within me in how PVP and PVE is handled in this game even as levels progressed.
The game has online play, and the emphasis is on this type of gameplay being the full experience of the game, since AI ships often walk right into mines and traps and fall for things that players won't.
Featuring an unfathomable amount of content including a myriad of ships, weapons, equipment, alien races, objects to scan, and planets to explore, minerals to mine, and adventures to be had Starfighter: Infinity punches well above its weight class as a indie game with simple graphics by offering hundreds of hours of content and invigorating combat.
But from how things look at the time of writing this review, and the fun I had with my friend playing it and even just exploring environments around me, this game has a lot to offer and should be considered highly if anyone is thinking of buying it.
As others have mentioned, runs extremely well on older machines, no latency issues, and has a wonderful sound track and sound effects, many of which match the original.
The controls are smooth, everything works perfectly, and it offered no noticeable lag of any kind despite the MMO experience offered and the amount of things being processed, rendered and taken into account on screen at a time.
