What players think
The recurring themes across 65 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
They achieve this in different ways: the stunning graphics is full of exotic and evocative locations; the amazing and evocative music is never repetitive and never intrusive, but manages to talk to your subconscious and increase the experience; the presence of a party of companions, who follow you through all your adventure; the many differeent flashbacks, which increase the variety of the settings; many small details such as the flickering lights or the animated clouds; the many comic-style cutscenes which highlight the key moments in the story; the english voiceover which is very expressive and competent.
Gameplay-wise, the puzzles are good, varied, make sense in the context, are of medium/hard difficulty, are fair, and have just the right amount of clues.
On the tech side, MoM has good quality graphics (gotta love that pixel-art, motion comics interludes and hand drawn backgrounds), good animations, great original music (some themes will give you a chill or two, and the end credits theme is awesome) and a well-polished interface.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
