Nowhere Patrol, developed and published by Slugsoft, is a focused action-platformer that takes inspiration from classic arcade design and combines it with the intensity of modern bullet-hell gameplay.
Clever and creative bosses, nice graphics, an okay (but admittedly not amazing, probably would benefit from more songs) soundtrack, and mechanics that hold a lot of potential replay value.
The game embraces challenge without becoming unnecessarily punishing, thanks in part to its quick restart system that keeps the action moving.
Rather than building a lengthy adventure filled with exploration and story-heavy sequences, the game centers almost entirely on a series of challenging boss encounters.
