What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There are 64 lakes in the ULT Network (more on that shortly) where you can collect data on the local fish, try to break their local size records if you're feeling lucky, and even engage in the occasional side quest.
Every species available in a lake has a lure preference as well as behaviorial patterns that determine where (e.g. surface, deep water, vegetation) and what time is best to find them, and much of the gameplay loop revolves around gathering that information.
The writing is funny without getting in the way, and the graphics are actually way prettier in game then in screenshots with the subtle animations and effects.
The interface is simple and intuitive, such as how you can always figure out what lake to go to next without having to dig around in menus, the music is absolutely beautiful - seriously, I could listen to this Twin Peaks-ish soundtrack all day long, and the fishing mechanic is simple to learn but always fun to do.
The sound design in this game is fantastic.
Theme by theme

No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
