What players think
The recurring themes across 62 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game rely on nostalgia for locations, bosses, and even playable characters which can be good things but lacks originality.
Drawing heavy inspiration from classic arcade brawlers, the game combines old-school action with roguelite progression and horror-themed imagery to create an experience that feels both nostalgic and surprisingly modern.
That said, I'd really only recommend this if you're up for local co-op and it's on sale ($5 or less); I played solo and enjoyed myself, but the gameplay does get a bit repetitive.
The cooperative multiplayer mode adds another layer of enjoyment.
