While the game isn’t challenging, and more of a narrative game with some interactivity added, the story, atmosphere, graphics and animation make up for it.

I think some of the most powerful moments happen during her gameplay because it's hard not to feel sorry for a little kid when something horrible happens.

When it comes to the visuals there are so many beautiful moments that might be difficult to appreciate if you never tried to animate a sprite.

I probably don't need to tell anyone that game looks very nice, as far as the pixel art goes it's about as good as you going to get, and it has a great soundtrack to complement it, although it didn't have that many locations to explore and change the scenery.

I'm very conflicted here because Inmost's gameplay for the first half is mechanically solid with casual difficulty that's all elevated by immersive, detailed 2D art, but the 1-2 punch of a weaker second half into the denial of a final challenge is just too much to ignore.

As a game, a good "metroidvania-style" with very good level design and very clear paths, with the three playable characters having their strong points (Playing as the knight is incredibly satisfactory even if his moves are somewhat limited) and I was able to beat it without too much effort.
