What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story follows Alex Chen, a young woman who arrives in the idyllic Haven Springs to reunite with her brother after years in the foster care system.
In terms of gameplay, True Colors remains faithful to the series' roots, focusing on interpersonal relationships and the "illusion of choice."
Yes it's in the LiS universe we enjoy and the setting is beautiful, graphics are lovely, vibe is so cool - yes I'd love to visit somewhere or live somewhere like Haven Springs - I live in the UK, so the setting is beautiful and takes me to a place where I'd want to be.
Although the setting is great, the voice acting, characters, and story are lackluster - LiS, BTS, and 2 all felt immersive and realistic to some point - even if the world didn't truly exist, you cared for the characters, you put yourself into Max, Chloe's or Sean's shoes - but with True Colors, I feel myself not caring.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.

No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 6 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
