tl;dr: This remake is much better suited for multiplayer vs real humans at the expense of a much worse single-player experience compared to the original.

This is both a positive and negative; the best aspects of CC: ABTF, such as its grueling difficulty and necessary mastery of basic military tactics are beautifully preserved, as are the worst elements from the 1997 game.
