What players think
The recurring themes across 124 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Gameplay is very engaging from the start, and adds a hook by advancing levels and chasing the achievements.
I love the pirate theme, the music, the sound effects, the art.
The game is a typical match-three with a pirate theme, has ok graphics and good music.
the game tries to cater both to match-3 and collect-a-thon enthusiasts, and it could be something pretty cool to recommend to both groups if it weren't for the issues above spoiling things right out of the gate. or harbor. while it's free (unless you want the vampire dlc, which looks like a simple reskin), time isn't, so I can only recommend looking for other games in the genre that do at least the absolute basics right. actually, the whole thing is very similar to you must build a boat, which isn't perfect either, but done a lot better, and it doesn't cost much more than the paid dlc for this.
The rest of the upgrades are to just be able to progress further in the conveniently rising difficulty, without really encountering anything you haven't in the first 10 minutes of play.
The interface has that stained treasure map feel, along with brightly coloured icons which make the game really pop.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
