Mana does have an overarching "timeline" to some extent that's foreign to its sister series like Final Fantasy and Saga, but the only one with relevant plot beats to Trials is Heroes of Mana (good luck playing that without an emulator) and it doesn't appear that you'll be missing too much if you don't.
+ very stable gameplay on 4k and 120 fps with a medicore system
Love the soundtrack (both original and remake).
✦ The music fits the atmosphere that the visuals manage to create.
Being able to change your controller mappings,For some reason games like to avoid doing this & it is nice to see it. i prefer to play 3rd person fantasy games with a controller & i only needed to remap the X(was to dodge) & B(was for light hits) buttons.
I played this game about half and half between my beefy, 4080 desktop computer and my Steam Deck.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
