What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game plays well enough, and the biggest suprise to me was that the story is not just cute, but thoughtful.
Sure we all have different tastes, but in a sea of metroidvanias - which seems to be the indie developer go-to genre alongside rougelites - the graphics certainly help this one stand out.
That to earn all the achievements requires needless repetition, as well as less enjoyment due to gruelling, not fun gameplay limitations, means that I can personally attest that this title isn't for the completionists amongst us.
This is further enhanced by the game’s sound design and music, which help create a strong atmosphere without overwhelming the action.
I also played all this on my steam deck and I must say that this feel like a game that was made for the system.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
