After 1200+ hours I've still only played vanilla+DLC; I'm sure mods would add a whole new layer to the complexity and endless replayability.
I get the impression Civ VI focused more on graphics and civs in their own languages (which is of zero use to me since I cannot understand all those languages).
My main gripe is I wish it wouldn't sometimes crash in multiplayer.
* Excellent, timeless user interface and musical score that remain intuitive and highly immersive for strategy veterans and newcomers alike.
You could become so good at the game you start ending things well before the later eras though.
