What players think
The recurring themes across 53 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
My final thoughts are that despite some frustrating technical issues this game is worth playing for the narrative alone, as well as the extremely effective visual style and the unusual use of sound to evoke some good ol' feelings of dread and lonliness.
As usual, Connor Sherlock's haunting soundtrack added a great sense of unease that fit well with this short walking experience.
Be warned that there are some rough edges, but don't let those dissuade you from what is a scary game in the classic sense, without relying on jump scares or chase sequences and instead builds an atmosphere of dread that gains momentum as you wind your way through the narrative.
