What players think
The recurring themes across 100 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I have probably easily spent over a hundred hours grinding high scores in Wondrous Lands, because of its tightly balanced challenging difficulty progression, replayability through randomisation, class diversity, the simple skill system, and the absolute genius design system of making almost every tier of equipment you loot valuable for one of your characters for at least a while.

Amazing visuals, fun combat, and a well-thought-out UI are enough to make a good tactical game on their own.
I'll start with some of the positives though: Fun storytelling, graphics with a ton of character, and there has clearly been serious thought put into the story branching and procedural generation.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
