What players think
The recurring themes across 284 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The mechanics and AI make it a fun experience, and the freedom to pick any faction (and recruit units outside your base faction should you choose) adds a lot of playstyle options.
Had a Blast playing this game, defeated the black dragon and unlocked many cities to unlock new weapons and armours.
A pro in this game is actually the difficulty, if you set it on normal difficulty you could assume your hero can beat everything on their own, if you set it in the proper difficulty you can have massive amounts of fun.
The numbers are small, the roster is fun (I've done the Necromancer, the Fallen Knight who was fun af, but my current favorite is the Monk. My Fire Archer, Henry the Firebrand, has 55 kills while everyone else just got to 20+ lol!) There are tough missions - the Monastery basement was rough, as I only had 7 available units - my 3 HP mage ate an abomination's axe to the face and survived.
