Little oddities like that, and the lack of any story or feeling of progression other than unlocking the next character going from right to left, top to bottom, keeps this from feeling like anything other than a fun time waster.
Sound effects provide sufficient feedback during gameplay while music maintains pacing and energy during action-heavy moments.

The art style is fairly nice, and it seems to get more detailed with each character.
Ahegal is a shumup, this amazing game have great gameplay, great mechanics and very good soundtrack, the framerate feels slow compared to other shumups, casual player will like the dificulty, controls are great with the mouse to move you light space ship, enemie design is very emoji style, very awesome, a lot of blinking light effects on the projectiles, many awesome unlockables, after finishing each mission it puts you back to the main menu, not a problem because, the main menu is great, your spaceship have multiple health points, so you can be hit more than once, I can recommend this game.
