Definitely a fun romp with great visual style, absurdist humor, forgettable story and simple, but compelling gameplay.

United with over-the-top humor, weapons and enemies, challenging difficulty, this whole ensemble makes VB an excellent game.

Excellent art style that works extremely well with its "comic book"-esque storytelling.

I played on the highest difficulty available to me in the beginning, and that made a lot of difference in my experience with the game.

You can easily tell what each sound is after a couple of hours of gameplay, and the game features stellar voice acting and some really advanced audio processing for such a simple game.

Combat in VB is FPS style, and quite good at that, just do not expect huge mobs of enemies as in other FPS games, as enemy encounters are somewhat limited in numbers most of the time, favoring a more tactical approach rather than an all-out slaughter.
