1. the game-play story loop is somewhat simple but enjoyable, you get quest, you do the objective (usually collect x amount of item) and hand in, it can be a tiny bit grindy but no where near as grindy as many other farm games and with multiple ways to get several items it lets you be a little creative with how you fill these quest orders.
I'm not a programmer so I don't know exactly what processes are happening under the hood, but even with solid RAM/graphics card/etc., I could not initially run this game for more than about 2 hours without having to close and reload it.
It would have been much smarter of the developers to make some of the critical game progression less dependent on total time played and more dependent on total quests completed or total upgrades unlocked.
With that said, I have already told my kids that I will not be purchasing further copies of the game because I have a strong feeling that the issues will compound in a multiplayer situation, and I'm not going to spend more on a game that has a high risk of leaving us more frustrated than excited to play together.
The default item placement rotation is not 'square' to the grid system or to your house, so if you want to line things up nicely you will have to spin them and do the majority of the placement manually, and as far as I can tell it's impossible to line anything up perfectly with the edges of your barn or chicken coop, which you cannot move or alter.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
