Each character adds a unique twist to combat and exploration, allowing for tactical variety and replayability.

Some are easier than others, and one in particular is so hard I dare say it trumps Dracula's Curse in difficulty.

Despite how daunting it feels, it's doable - you know it is because there is no other way forward, and there's a unique ending hidden behind it.

Nothing keeps me motivated to keep playing like a rocking soundtrack provided by games like Castlevania.

The story is greatly written even for as little as it might be, the levels feel really good to explore, the playable characters all feel powerful in their own regard with the variety and multitude of subweapons, the bosses are all incredibly impressive and it all makes the game a truly beautiful, unforgettable time!

The visuals embrace the retro aesthetic but add subtle modern effects and quality-of-life tweaks that make it feel polished rather than dated.
