Double Cross

The art, characters, and world are fun and I liked the core mystery of the story.

It's a surprisingly smooth platformer with good level design and gameplay mechanics.

Its especially fun to pick up enemies' thrown weapons and chucking them back at people.

The game also has a good balance with the difficulty: it's never too easy and some challenges are difficult, but there are plenty checkpoints and dying it's only a minor step back; there's a little spike in difficulty in a level, but it revolves around just needing some trial and error to get the right technique and to memorize the level.

So all in all a well designed game with nice graphics most suitable for us filthy casuals who like challenge in platforming but who don't want to completely go all in on difficulty.

It has a short but killer soundtrack, a fun story, and a cast of characters that are as memorable as they are unique (looking at you, Pineapple!).
