Mary Skelter: Nightmares

As a project developed by industry veterans Idea Factory (24 years of experience) and published by the equally prolific Ghostlight LTD, Mary Skelter brings something new to the table in terms of both complexity and narrative novelty.

There’s a very interesting chase mechanic in this title as it adds further pressure since you’re already randomly attacked from low-tier mobs.

All of this adds much needed flavor to a turn-based combat that would otherwise become stale fairly fast, given the frequency of the attacks you’ll be subjected to.

The premise isn't really that bad and the character design (while being yet another take on “shinigami girls”) is quite charming, yet almost all dialogues serve no real purpose.

For the most part, the voice acting hit the right target even if some characters seem to lack enthusiasm.

The animation and visuals are smooth allowing for the movement to not disorient the viewer and making it so that the viewer can notice what can be done and where it's possible to go at any point of the exploration.
