The only negatives of the game are many quests and achievement unlockables for cosmetics and currency which are personally annoying, however there aren't any pay to win elements tied to them.
Battle Royale gameplay is pretty standard as far as what's understood as the formula elements at play.
My overall experience playing was smooth, bug-free and lag-free with some interesting dialect from the characters.
