I also liked the art design and it is a charming sort of throwback to the older SNES or PS1 RPGs, if you like old school 90s RPG games and want something with a fun story and interesting combat system check it out, $5 is a good price point and a very high value for what it provides.

The gameplay is standard for the genre but is nevertheless fun and is surprisingly deeper than the traditional turn-based JRPGs of yonder past for a number of reasons:

The character moves work well together and make combat almost impossible to lose if you plan it right.

The gameplay is exciting and if you put it on the hardest difficulty you will be grinding and learning attack patterns till your hair falls out.

The graphics use delightful 16-bit pixel art that is standard for games made using RPG Maker in which the character sprites are cute while the world is colorful and vivid; however, the part that stood out the most was the artwork for the character portraits which is amazing and really well drawn but every female character is over-sexualized.
