Look, I tried to enjoy it, but he gameplay is nonsensical, so it's truly a visual novel with an annoying minigame.
However it is good to mention, that since Panzer Hearts is a small budged game, there is no voice acting, so hopefully you aren't afraid of reading the plentiful dialogue.
