By the time you reach the ending I think it's a really rewarding experience.

I beat the game and REALLY tried to like it, and at first I did with it's awesome soundtrack, great gameplay, and well done anime (and not only) references.

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
This is legitimately the best OST I've ever heard in my life, hands down, and the fact that White Vanilla's managed to usurp Green Orange's is a testament to the passion put into this game.

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
Now, the game does have some good things: It controls as fine as a good quality old arcade shooter such as Gunbird or 1945 Plus, the soundtrack is amongst the best I ever listened to, the bichrome style graphics are pretty to look at (and once you beat the game you unlock more bichrome palettes to customize your graphics) the designs of enemies, environments, and your own ships are very cool and clearly inspired from the animes of the 90's and early 2000's.

Co-op
Players who bring up Co-op mostly praise it.
Haven't experienced it myself, but watching videos of well-coordinated co-op ZeroRanger gameplay is a thing of beauty; Splitting up tasks based on how weapons are distributed and pulling off interesting team maneuvers.
