I guess it's a puzzle / rogue-(very)lite with a story, simple yet effective graphics and in general just a really unique blend of game mechanics.

Puzzles, because there are plenty simple transitionary ones in the story (they are excellent for teaching you) and rotated or mirrored variants (that make a difference for the solution).

Despite the limited space for movement and the fact that there are so few moves available at any time that reaching a solution doesn't take long, the puzzles are still interesting and framed in hyper-minimalist graphics and sound, with cryptic narration to link them.
