Getting people into Muv-Luv is a hard job though, since it's a franchise that plays with both drastically different story genres.
It has a few pre-rendered animated segments which are of very high quality, otherwise most comedy, drama and action is portrayed with moving sprites, stills, decent sfx and all upheld by excellent voice acting.
The art and music are well made, as are the occasional animated segments although the latter were made with the game's initial release art style instead of the remastered (and better) look of this version so there's a bit of a clash in visual style there.
There are a handful of unskippable scenes that lightly hinder replayability.
