The game was enough of a challenge for me on the Veteran difficulty, and the resource management scratched a sort of "survival" itch for me (naturally, I hoarded everything and walked away with an abundance of resources by the end of the game, not truly getting to enjoy the fruits of my labor. it always happens that way lol).
