The squid protagonist can leap across hazards while using a downward ink attack to defeat enemies, adding a small but effective combat mechanic that complements the platforming.

Although the story is intentionally simple, it is filled with quirky humor, charming characters, and playful dialogue that give the adventure a distinctive personality from beginning to end.

It does everything it can to take you back to the Gameboy era from it's 1 button controls, the graphics, the sound, to even the simple touches it includes like the ability to change the contrast as if you're playing your Gameboy in the car and the screen is affected by glare.

I see some bemoaning the lack of save system, but honestly, I think even a platforming newbie could probably complete this in one sitting - in fact if you have kids or family members or even friends that are interested in games but are put off by their difficulty, this is an ideal place to start for platformers.

The soundtrack was created using genuine Game Boy hardware and software, producing chiptune compositions that sound completely faithful to the era the game celebrates.
