Total War: THREE KINGDOMS

The truth is the game is fun and has a lot of replayability so you'll certainly get your moneys worth, and there are mods that exist that allow you to play as the 'minor' factions if you so please.

There are lots of ways to play the campaign and each character has their unique mechanics.

The combat is still within the "historical" style of formation-fighting, building balanced armies and managing political intrigue, but isn't afraid to create fictional formations, units, characters or events to create a really enticing atmosphere throughout the entire campaign.

As far as specs and settings go, I played on a couple of years old gaming laptop, and I found that for me personally, the original graphics settings were too safe.

Despite many shortcomings, I still think this game deserve my recommendation because I don't think I can put 100+ hours in game I don't enjoy, You will appreciate it's mechanics & sandbox nature after initial steep learning curve.

If you let this game take you the the Han Era of Imperial China, you'll find there are plenty of interesting playable characters to pick from with their own competencies and even set of morals (or lack thereof).
