As I delved further in I got to experience a wealth of excellent level design and a writing style that had my chuckling with surprise on more than one occasion.
The level design is excellent with a multitude of different stages offering a near-perfect difficulty curve as you progress through the game.
While there is little in the way of sfx, the music that plays throughout the game again reinforces the charming retro aesthetic with lovely chiptunes devised for each of the main game areas.
There's a great variety in gameplay, and plenty of things to find.
I tend not to play many indie titles but this one really caught my attention with its charming visuals, catchy music and tight controls.
