it seems to have been made probably with self-awareness of its roughness in terms of design and mechanics i.e clipping through the floor of one of the houses on Beantown; being able to clip through some walls with the katana; the rather lack of optimization of the game (i play on a low-to-mid range laptop and I have to run around 768p to 480p on Toaster graphics settings to get decent framerates. playing on Windowed seems to run faster than Fullscreen for me too); and the overall feel of it. i dont know how big the team, if any, for this game was but i'd say it's definitely not the biggest, which isn't bad because what they've created is a fun game. it's genuinely enjoyable to play bean battles, or at least most of the time. it is programmed so that the shooting is snappy, with different weapons serving different purposes. i've heard my friends say they don't like the movement in this game but to me, it's okay. i guess the one thing i don't like is how you can't shoot while running. i assume it was intentional and i can't blame the dev/s because in my view it seems to emphasize confrontation unless you really have to run away.

Performance
Players who bring up Performance mostly praise it.
EDIT: the most obvious issue i forgot to mention is optimization issues. like i mentioned, i run this game at the lowest settings and it still runs at only around 30 or 40 fps peak. i do think perhaps render drawing for objects could be worked on, but i also assume this must be a challenge for the dev/s because of the not very large maps of the game.
