Lamplight City is a meticulously crafted point-and-click detective adventure developed by Grundislav Games, blending a richly detailed alternate-history setting with classic investigative gameplay.

I liked this aspect, as it eliminates one of the bugbears of point and click games: the "Inventory rub", where you end up trying every item on every other item to see if something clicks.

The retro pixel-art style evokes games like Monkey Island, and the dialogue scenes take their props from Gabriel Knight with the talking character portraits.

The cases were the perfect level of difficulty- easy enough to not get frustrated or lost, but complex enough to not get bored.
