Unforgiving: a northern hymn is a relatively short but sweet horror experience with a good story and expertly crafted atmosphere

But the gameplay is pretty chill and a bit different than what I'm used to.

Sound design and voice acting has also been done really well here and is definitely a big + for the game, really good job on the music!

Interesting concept and good graphics while keeping a steady (capped) 60 fps on max settings without issues.

As is often the case for games in this genre, Steam Achievements add much-needed challenges to Unforgiving - A Northern Hymn, as they're pretty much the only thing that sets 'quests' or at least other targets besides running from the starting point of the game to its end point.

Thoughtfully included throughout the game are minute details that elicit a true unadulterated respect for what has been accomplished, particularly the subtle mannerisms that the playable character expresses across different sequences and actions.
