Astrologaster is a singularly charming narrative experience that blends historical satire, choice-driven storytelling, and theatrical presentation into something that feels closer to an interactive stage play than a conventional video game.
There is almost no facial animation when the characters are speaking, but all of the emotion is effectively portrayed through the sound and character voice overs.
Saving slots would be nice to toy around with different choices and might help with that whole ‘replayability’ problem mentioned above.
Astrologaster has simple but effective graphics.
The subtitles are perfectly done, perfectly *legible*, and unobtrusive.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
