With respect to the campaign, I just managed to finish the Great Europe campaign after 34 hours, only to realize it is only one of the campaigns.
I got it significantly cheaper, along with lots of expansions, but these are useless to me since twenty years of playing computer games, a PhD in mathematics and a great motivation to play precisely this game with its great setting and beautiful graphics are clearly not enough to learn who to operate it.
The core gameplay revolves around designing and maintaining public transportation networks that evolve alongside growing cities.
