I played the campaign mode and you start off with your home base and can order pops to chop trees, construct buildings like farms and houses, build defenses like walls and barracks, and recruit spearmen or crossbowmen to come with you on the global map as you explore the region fighting orc armies and taking back neighboring villages to continue rebuilding your former kingdom.
The only thing I wish this game had was multiplayer and an option to increase the amount of orcs that come from the strongholds for a really challenging gameplay.
