Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a great game about the said cycling discipline; the gameplay is very fun, there are various tracks and settings, each one full of shortcuts and dangers, and the low poly graphics are great with lots of objects on the screen.

atmosphere 10/10. this game reminds me why I loved downhill mountain biking and exploring nature. sfx (nature, bike, crashes) 10/10 for immersion, the art style even though low poly just works. kind of like art of rally, the simple but deliberate geometry and colour palette are really satisfying. the camera style also, it creates an immersion in nature feel, you can see and take in the landscapes, if it was just another racing cam behind player always you would never take in the beauty of nature, or be reminded of vistas and wonderful places you have seen in real life.

If you're looking for something sporty to play in short spurts on a Steam Deck or on the couch, consider pairing this with titles like "Super Video Golf" and "Super Woden: Rally Edge" for the ultimate pick up and play burst gaming library.

Multiplayer
Players who bring up Multiplayer mostly praise it.
As far as desirable features still missing, it would be great to be able to race against my own or other player's "ghosts" (if for no other reason than to give some online purpose to player customization), but so far that has not been added to the game.
