Probably the best Worms game from an 3D experience, unlike Worms, Worms Armageddon, Worms Reloaded, Worms World Party, Worms Revolution, Worms Clan Wars & lastly Worms W.M.D as the recent Worms game all those I've mentioned are 2D & 2.5D Worms games as it still has that Team vs Team Multiplayer combat, depending if you like to play offline with CPU/A.I or bots which Worms is known for or even online with randoms or maybe it ruins friendships just like with Mario Party.
Worms Ultimate Mayhem is no doubt an evolution to not just Worms 3D (the game that brought the iconic strategic series featuring the charming worms full of character from the 2D realm over into the fancy new 3D world) but also further improving what the series has to offer as far as campaign story missions and character creation goes alongside other nifty features!
Gameplay probably features the biggest changes and improvements of the worms series.
On the note of remasters, seeing as I have been referring to this game as 'Ultimate Mayhem' and not the original game's title 'Worms 4: Mayhem', the changes made to this version of Ultimate Mayhem include improvements to the graphics by updating them to High Definition standards, online multiplayer to take the strategic gameplay of Worms to the next level with real human players and a whole assortment of new challenges not previously in the original Mayhem game on the PS2 and Xbox alongside all the missions from Worms 3D!
This game does have CONTROLLER SUPPORT - which is greatly appreciated.
The sound design reinforces the comedic tone, with iconic worm quips, exaggerated explosions, and playful background tracks that match the series’ irreverent spirit.
