What players think
The recurring themes across 205 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Although the visuals effectively capture the look of modern tennis, some character animations and transitions can occasionally appear stiff, reducing the fluidity expected from a simulation that places such a strong emphasis on realism.
If the developers fix the menu speed glitch and smooth out performance, it could be a solid tennis title, but in its current state it’s hard to fully enjoy.
While Virtual Tennis was amazing in the way the characters move, the own character doesn't react to the ball, if it isn't flying directly at you.
The character creation is still limited to a laughably low amount of options, the AI apart from Legendary difficulty is still to easy, even for new players, not all bugs are gone (but a whole lot has been fixed), doubles are still missing, online modes are in need of dedicated servers, and... you get my point.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and are not shown.
